The author analyzes the results of her study of the dreams of study abroad participants in Chile, and uses these results as a starting point for a discussion of the role of dreams in cross-cultural adjustment. Employing a theoretical as well as context-specific approach, the author shows how one's dreams are a valuable indicator of one's cross-cultural adjustment. The author analyzes specific dreams from her study group as well as specific types of dreams to illustrate her arguments.
