Before joining American University's faculty, Bram had been a management consultant from 1978-2005, a profession from which he has recently decided to retire. His fields of expertise include global busness management and cross-cultural effectiveness. Through his work, Bram traveled to over 35 countries around the world, living in several countries for many years at a time. In these consulting capacities, Bram had the opportunity to work with and learn about th e national and organizational cultures located in numerous countries. His global consulting experience spans a wide range of industries and clients including: Cendant, Dominion Resources, First Data Croporation, Freddie Mac, IBM, ING, Mannesmann, Marriott, MCI Worldcom, Philips, PHH Group, RepsolYPF, Siemens, Unisys, and Westinghouse. Recently, he published his first book, "Titans of Saturn" an examination of the international Cassini-Huygens space science mission to Saturn, with co-author Dr. Charles Hampden-Turner. Bram is a Dutch national, with a U.S. green card, and is fluent in Dutch, English and German, and conversant in French. He currently lives at his homes in Northern Virginia and Cape Canaveral, has been married to his wife Sherry for many years, and has a daughter, Lisa, and a son-in-law, Randy.
