Dant is the Director of the Leadership Development Division for the Institute for International Education. Dant began his international career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, teaching in a rural middle school. For five years he taught at the School for International Education, Brattleboro, Vermont where he also was manager of intensive training programs for overseas study/service. He then spent ten years in the U.S. federal service, working first for the Peace Corps, where he directed education programs in Morocco and served as country officer for North Africa and Yemen in Washington, DC, and subsequently at the U.S. Information Agency (now part of the U.S. Department of State), in international program management positions for the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program.
