This 90-minute panel session features Rick Detweiler, president of the Great Lakes Colleges Association, who will suggest new ways of thinking about study abroad; Michael McCarry, executive director of the Alliance for International Educational & Cultural Exchange, who will provide an update on regulatory and funding issues; and Skye Stephenson, founder of Jade Journeys and formerly Latin American & Caribbean regional director for both the School for International Training and The Council on International Educational Exchange, who will address the topic of globally responsible study abroad. The discussion will be moderated by David Bachner, scholar-in-residence at American University’s School of International Service.
